Rugged Maniac is like recess for grown-ups, except our playground has a 3-story water slide, trampolines, and a fire jump, and there’s a huge festival right in the middle of everything with a DJ and plenty of beer! Sounds amazing, right?! Here’s how it works:
THE FESTIVAL
The 5,000-person party starts at 8:30 a.m. with a DJ on the main stage, booths giving away free stuff, all kinds of interactive games (mechanical bulls, dance-offs, stein-hoisting, pie-eating…), and tasty food and beer to keep you fueled all day. The best part? The games are completely FREE, no ticket required, so even your least adventurous friends can join the party!
THE PLAYGROUND
But the real fun happens out on the playground — our 3-mile course packed with 20+ epic obstacles designed to both challenge and thrill Maniacs of all fitness levels, from couch potatoes to marathoners. The course opens at 9 a.m. but you’ll select a specific time to run when you buy your tickets. If you’re a late sleeper, that means you can wake up at noon, run at 1:45 p.m., and then party the rest of the day! Or if you’re the competitive type, join the 9 a.m. “Elite Heat” to race other speedsters for a chance to be crowned the winner!
Each time slot is limited to just 200 Maniacs each, so grab your friends and reserve your spot before it sells out!

Seattle's only triathlon will take place on the shores of Lake Washington at Seward Park. Offering participants multiple disciplines on a flat, fast and picturesque triathlon course in the shadows of downtown Seattle. This race is a must do for all triathletes in the northwest. The event offers participants a unique opportunity to participate in a sprint distance triathlon or super sprint distance in an urban setting. Swimming in a protected cove, riding on closed roadways and running through Seward Park, this is the Pacific Northwest's premier triathlon. Offering a Kids Triathlon as well, there is a distance for everyone in the family at the Seafair Triathlon! Join us in 2020 at the Seafair Triathlon with over 1,400 health enthusiasts taking part in the event.

One of a kind triathlon! The Bay City Morning Rotary is proud to host the Driathlon. This is a signature fundraising event for our club and we are excited to share it with you and the City of Bay City. The Driathlon is a unique event that changes the typical triathlon with canoeing instead of swimming, and new this year, Kayaking. The event has been a huge success! Teams of two compete against each other in a “team” or “relay” format. New this year will be the individual kayak division. Canoe/kayak on the Saginaw River, Bike on a closed course on Bay City streets, and run on the scenic riverwalk is what you’ll be experiencing to compete at the Driathlon, and it all kicks off from the transition area situated at Veterans Memorial Park.
As a club we are very happy with the outcome and excited about the prospects of our signature event. The money raised are granted to organizations in Bay County. Participants have come from all over the state to experience Bay City and its surroundings. Help make this a big draw allowing the Bay City Morning Rotary Club to disperse funds to local charities.
