2022 Rugged Maniac Columbus Presented By Tipico
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EDT
Delaware County Fairgrounds
Obstacle
50% FESTIVAL + 50% MUD RUN = 100% AWESOME! Rugged Maniac is like recess for grown-ups, except our playground has a 3-story water slide, trampolines, and a fire jump, and there's a huge festival right in the middle of everything with a DJ and plenty of beer! Sounds amazing, right?! Here's how it works: THE FESTIVAL The 5,000-person party starts at 8:30 a.m. with a DJ on the main stage, booths giving away free stuff, all kinds of interactive games (mechanical bulls, dance-offs, stein-hoisting, pie-eating…), and tasty food and beer to keep you fueled all day. The best part? The games are completely FREE, no ticket required, so even your least adventurous friends can join the party! THE PLAYGROUND But the real fun happens out on the playground — our 3-mile course packed with 20+ epic obstacles designed to both challenge and thrill Maniacs of all fitness levels, from couch potatoes to marathoners. The course opens at 9 a.m. but you'll select a specific time to run when you buy your tickets. If you're a late sleeper, that means you can wake up at noon, run at 1:45 p.m., and then party the rest of the day! Or if you're the competitive type, join the 9 a.m. "Elite Heat" to race other speedsters for a chance to be crowned the winner! Each time slot is limited to just 200 Maniacs each, so grab your friends and reserve your spot before it sells out! read more…

Tour of the Battenkill - 2022
8:30 AM EDT
Washington County Fairgrounds
Cycling
Get ready to challenge yourself like never before at one of America's largest single-day road races: The Tour of the Battenkill! That's right, the annual "Queen of the Classics" returns to upstate New York on May 7, 2022, for an incredibly fun, all-inclusive, single-day cycling race and party. Though our name and superlatives are super cool, we earn them via our course and after party. Our event offers some of the best gravel riding in the country that takes you across covered bridges, scenic views, and over 5,000 feet of elevation gain. It's a spirited test of grit that will be celebrated in style with our rockin' after-party with a free beer garden (if 21+), live music, and food.  Though our Gran Fondo is our legendary distance, you now have three events to choose from: The legendary 75-mile Gran Fondo, a 42-mile Medio Fondo, and the 26-mile Piccolo Fondo. All are welcome to pick their distance, reserve their spot, and join the exclusive club of riders who can say they've ridden The Tour of the Battenkill.  read more…

2022 SJ5K
Run/Walk
The SJ5K is a benefit 5k run that started in 2011 when local student Jesse Lindlbauer experienced a life-altering brain injury. This is the 12th year of the Super Jess 5k, a student-led race in the Plymouth-Canton community. Since the first race, the SJ5K has supported 50 Plymouth-Canton families going through a medical crisis. This year's race will be helping five more families in our community and the 12th Annual SJ5K is going back to in person! Pledge to run, walk, or jog the SJ5K on Sunday, May 1st! The cost is $25 for students and $30 for adults 18 and older, and a participant t-shirt will be included and available for pickup on Packet Pickup day April 30th at PCEP 9AM -4PM. We will send more details the end of April. Virtual registrants can also sign up to have shirt shipped for the cost of shipping. We are asking only use this options if you are not in the Metro Detroit area Visit SJ5K.org to learn more about this year's families and how to share your experience with the SJ5K community on all of our media platforms. Even now, we can support each other.  We have Strength In Every Stride! read more…
