Due to the current social distancing restrictions and also because there will not be a Louisville Bats baseball game with fans by July 11th, we have decided, for 2020, to make the Dr. Ed Morgan/Kiwanis Grand Slam 4-Miler a Virtual Run/Walk and for those who might prefer a shorter distance we are also offering a 2-Mile Virtual Run/Walk option this year.
A virtual race is a race that can be run or walked from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on a treadmill or on a track. In other words, you get to run your own race, at your own pace, on a course that you choose and during a timeframe that best fits your schedule and your preference!

The 17th annual Bear River Crawl is a 5K Run/Walk and a 10K Run which will continue to donate all proceeds to the Northern Michigan Cancer Crusaders. This race has received rave reviews of being a fun run with trails and a scenic route. Many families enjoy the race every year. The 5K run course will take you up one side of the Bear River then cross a footbridge and onto a gravel trail that hugs the river. The last mile you'll run in the shade while listening to the roar of the rapids on the river. The 5K walk course will travel south on the Little Traverse Wheelway which showcases the beautiful view of Little Traverse Bay, then turn around at 1.5 miles and return to the finish line. You are welcomed to walk with a stroller or with your dog on the 5 K walk, (dogs & strollers on the 5K walk only)

The Rose Run is a 5k run/walk and kids' fun run in memory of Rose Marie Hunt. Rose was 54 years young when she lost her battle with breast cancer. She was 42 when she was first diagnosed. She had a bilateral mastectomy and endured a stem cell transplant in Toledo, Ohio where her treatments were, at that time, administered. She went in to remission and enjoyed re-marrying, watching her kids graduate high school, being there for the birth of 5 of her now 7 grandchildren and working hard, which was something she always did.
