The Zombie Run offers .25, .5, 1 and 2 mile walk/run options for children and takes place at Rutledge Wilson Farm Park, during the Fall Farm Festival. Zombies are on the course with the kids but it is not too scary! The course is mostly gravel with some pavement. A full finish line and excellent Zombie Run medals are provided for those that complete their event. This is a wonderful family opportunity for fitness, fun and fellowship in the great outdoors!

2023 KJ's 5K for Mental Health and Animal Rescue

KJ's 5k is a fun run/walk held on the natural surfaced trails at Portage Lakes State Park. The chip-timed run includes a t-shirt if registered by the deadline, medals for all finishers, prizes for First Second and Third place Adult male & female, and First Second and third for youth. There will also be prizes for the largest team, and the fastest team (calculated based on the top 5 finishers on each team).
This is a family friendly and pet-friendly event, so bring the kids and dog for a fun morning in nature.
The event is rain-or-shine. Because the 5k is completely off-road and on natural surfaced trails, crosses sand, and crosses several boardwalks, care must be taken on the trail, particularly after or during rain, and the course is difficult for strollers or people with limited mobility.
