Join The Canton Repository as we celebrate and honor the accomplishments of the 2018-2019 All-Star high school student athletes at the annual Best of Stark Preps Awards. The Best of Stark Preps awards banquet is the Repository's way of saying thank you to the thousands of outstanding high school athletes, coaches, and fans who allow us to share their stories, performances and passions. Sponsored by Aultman, Huntington Bank, Kent State Stark University, Jerzees, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the event honors the top performers in 15 sports. Awards will be presented to the Outstanding Player of the Year in each sport, as well as Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, and Coach of the Year. Best of Stark Preps athletes are invited to attend for free and the event is open to family, friends and the general public.
The the event will feature a Pro Hall of Famer as the guest speaker, to be announced soon!
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event starts at 6:30 p.m. General admission tickets may be purchased for $50. General admission ticket includes dinner, awards ceremony and presentation by a celebrity guest speaker. General admission seating is first-come, first-served in proximity to speaker.
Best of Stark Preps athletes will receive an invitation with instructions for claiming their free ticket.

Presented by the Akron Beacon Journal and sponsored by Akron Children's Hospital and FirstEnergy, the event honors the top performers across 26 sports, in 28 different schools from Summit and Medina County. Awards will be presented to the Outstanding Player of the Year in each sport, as well as Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, and Coach of the Year. There will also be awards for athletes in each of the 26 sports. Best of Greater Akron Preps athletes are invited to attend for free, and the event is open to family, friends and the general public.
