KJ's 5k is a fun run/walk held on the natural surfaced trails at Portage Lakes State Park. The chip-timed run includes a t-shirt if registered by the deadline, medals for all finishers, prizes for First Second and Third place Adult male & female, and First Second and third for youth. There will also be prizes for the largest team, and the fastest team (calculated based on the top 5 finishers on each team).
This is a family friendly and pet-friendly event, so bring the kids and dog for a fun morning in nature.
The event is rain-or-shine. Because the 5k is completely off-road and on natural surfaced trails, crosses sand, and crosses several boardwalks, care must be taken on the trail, particularly after or during rain, and the course is difficult for strollers or people with limited mobility.

The OhioHealth Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon & 5K will debut on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022.
The event will feature the Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles) and 5K (3.1) miles. Registration begins at just $50 and $30, respectively.
The Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon & 5K will start and finish in Ray E. DeGraw Park in Grandview Yard. The course provides a fantastic tour of the Grandview Yard, Franklinton, the Scioto Greenway and the Arena District. The Byers Xtra Mile Post-Race Party will be held in Ray E. DeGraw Park right after the event.

The Running To Honor 5K is a timed, family friendly walk (or run) focused on keeping the memory of our Fallen Soldiers & Veterans alive and reminding others that Freedom is never free. The event will take place on Saturday, July 29th, 2023 inside Heritage Park located at 12111 Pardee Rd, Taylor, MI 48180. The start time of the 5K & 1 Mile-ish walk (or run) is 8:00 AM in front of the Sheridan Pavilion. The Kids .5K will start at 7:30 AM.
The proceeds from the race will benefit Victory Gym Veterans Health Club, Taylor VFW Post 4422 and Running To Honor organizations.

The SJ5K is a benefit 5k run that started in 2011 when local student Jesse Lindlbauer experienced a life-altering brain injury. This is the 13th year of the Super Jess 5k, a student-led race in the Plymouth-Canton community. Since the first race, the SJ5K has supported 55 Plymouth-Canton families going through a medical crisis.
This year's race will be helping five more families in our community and the 13th Annual SJ5K is going back to in person! Pledge to run, walk, or jog the SJ5K on Sunday, May 7th!
The cost is $25 for students and $30 for adults 18 and older, and a participant t-shirt will be included and available for pickup on Packet Pickup day May 6th at PCEP 9AM -4PM. We will send more details the end of April. Virtual registrants can also sign up to have shirt shipped for the cost of shipping. We are asking only use this options if you are not in the Metro Detroit area.
