The 3rd annual Officer Collin Rose 2K9 Memorial Run and 5K will be held October 12, 2019 at the Matthaei Complex located at 5101 John C Lodge Fwy, on the campus of Wayne State University. There is ample parking located onsite. The event honors Collin Rose of the Wayne State University Police Department and his two police dogs, Clyde and Wolverine. Rose was killed in the line of duty on Nov. 23, 2016.

Let's make a difference in the life of people who have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse by participating in this fundraising event hosted by Salvation’s Gate, Inc. a charitable nonprofit organization. All proceeds go to Salvation’s Gate Inc. to help fund our work with domestic violence victims and their families.
Salvation’s Gate, Inc. will hold its 4th annual 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk event on October 13, 2018! Freedom to Soar |Rising Above Domestic Violence race will take place on the beautiful Belle Isle, a 985-acre island park situated on the Detroit River between the U.S. and Canada. The very flat and fast course will offer beautiful river and city views throughout the entire race.
View the autumn leaves changing among the many attractions on Belle Isle for runners/walkers and spectators of all ages, such as an aquarium, Nature Zoo, Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory and more!
