Rugged Maniac is like recess for grown-ups, except our playground has a 3-story water slide, trampolines, and a fire jump, and there’s a huge festival right in the middle of everything with a DJ and plenty of beer! Sounds amazing, right?! Here’s how it works:
THE FESTIVAL
The 5,000-person party starts at 8:30 a.m. with a DJ on the main stage, booths giving away free stuff, all kinds of interactive games (mechanical bulls, dance-offs, stein-hoisting, pie-eating…), and tasty food and beer to keep you fueled all day. The best part? The games are completely FREE, no ticket required, so even your least adventurous friends can join the party!
THE PLAYGROUND
But the real fun happens out on the playground — our 3-mile course packed with 20+ epic obstacles designed to both challenge and thrill Maniacs of all fitness levels, from couch potatoes to marathoners. The course opens at 9 a.m. but you’ll select a specific time to run when you buy your tickets. If you’re a late sleeper, that means you can wake up at noon, run at 1:45 p.m., and then party the rest of the day! Or if you’re the competitive type, join the 9 a.m. “Elite Heat” to race other speedsters for a chance to be crowned the winner!
Each time slot is limited to just 200 Maniacs each, so grab your friends and reserve your spot before it sells out!

The Louisville Triple Crown of RunningSM is a series of well-established road races of varying distances. Runners may participate in any or all three "legs" but must register for all three in the series to be eligible*. Started in 1984, The Triple Crown has focused on helping more runners and walkers in the Kentuckiana area embrace a healthy lifestyle and achieve the goal of completing the three-race series. RAM Racing embraces this mission through events that cater to all athletes of different fitness levels, making running an approachable sport that is enjoyed by all.
The 2020 race series will include the traditional 5k and 10k, but as an exciting change, the final leg of the revitalized series will be the inaugural Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k Louisville. Frequently referred to as America’s Sweetest Race, the Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k race series was established by RAM in 2008. The Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k is an annual favorite on runners’ calendars: every year over 200,000 participants run for chocolate, making it the fastest-growing race series in the nation. The series combines industry-leading production and safety standards with award-winning giveaways including finisher’s medal and mugs filled with hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, and tasty dippable treats! More than one million people have run in a Hot Chocolate 15k/5k race since its inception, currently with races in 22 cities nationally, 3 cities in Mexico, and counting!
Participants of the series will receive an interlocking medal, the race swag from each of the 3 events (goodie bags and medals), series t-shirt and registrants for the three race series receive a discount.
