What keeps Jeff Galloway coming back to the Capital City Marathon

Legendary running coach and inventor of the Galloway Run Walk Run method, Jeff Galloway, is headed back to the Capital City Marathon in 2018, and he’s got a pretty long list of reasons to be stoked about returning this year.

Right off the bat, he cites the Capital City Marathon’s “beautiful course” and outstanding series of community events that the race offers. From a 5 miler and Half Marathon, to the Full-on Marathon and free races for kids, there is something for the whole family. And those free races for kids don’t just help protect the wallets of all you parent runners out there, but they also support youth activities in Olympia and the surrounding areas. Galloway notes that Capital City Marathon has really developed a lot of success stories as a result of similar youth-supporting initiatives.

The Capital City Marathon also boasts food and a beer tent at the finish line, featuring all of the ingredients and microbrews that make the Pacific Northwest famous and showcasing the charming downtown district of Olympia, Washington.

The thing Galloway is most looking forward to, however, is the beautiful, luxurious, and sometimes life-saving downhill final mile of the Marathon, which finishes right in Olympia’s downtown city center.

If you’re looking for a Spring Marathon with a downhill finish, beautiful scenery, family friendly race distances and youth development support, complete with all the charming nostalgia of hometown USA, join Jeff Galloway at the Capital City Marathon on May 20, 2018.
