Rugged Maniac is like recess for grown-ups, except our playground has a 3-story water slide, trampolines, and a fire jump, and there's a huge festival right in the middle of everything with a DJ and plenty of beer! Sounds amazing, right?! Here's how it works:
THE FESTIVAL
The 5,000-person party starts at 8:30 a.m. with a DJ on the main stage, booths giving away free stuff, all kinds of interactive games (mechanical bulls, dance-offs, stein-hoisting, pie-eating…), and tasty food and beer to keep you fueled all day. The best part? The games are completely FREE, no ticket required, so even your least adventurous friends can join the party!
THE PLAYGROUND
But the real fun happens out on the playground — our 3-mile course packed with 20+ epic obstacles designed to both challenge and thrill Maniacs of all fitness levels, from couch potatoes to marathoners. The course opens at 9 a.m. but you'll select a specific time to run when you buy your tickets. If you're a late sleeper, that means you can wake up at noon, run at 1:45 p.m., and then party the rest of the day! Or if you're the competitive type, join the 9 a.m. "Elite Heat" to race other speedsters for a chance to be crowned the winner!
Each time slot is limited to just 200 Maniacs each, so grab your friends and reserve your spot before it sells out!

The Highland Park Strong Half Marathon, 5K and 1 Mile, formerly known as the North Shore Classic, will take place on June 4, 2023, in honor of the victims of the Fourth of July tragedy and our Highland Park community. For our 45th year of running on the beautiful North Shore, we are proud to have the Highland Park Community Foundation as our charity partner and will be fundraising for their July 4th Highland Park Shooting Response Fund. Calling all runners!
Step up to the plate for Chicago's youth during the 18th Annual Race to Wrigley 5K Charity Run Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Wrigley Field.
Runners will race through the Lakeview neighborhood before entering Wrigley Field and will cross the finish line just steps away from the Wrigley Field Marquee. Runners will have a chance to run on the warning track on the field as a part of the race course.
Runners are also able to participate in the race virtually. You can map out a 5K course of your own and complete the race.
The registration fee for the in-person race is $39 and $25 for children ages 10 and under. The virtual option is $44 for both adults and children. The virtual option price includes the shipment of all participant items for each virtual participant.
Proceeds from the race will benefit Cubs Charities and its mission is to mobilize the power of sport to champion youth, families and communities. Cubs Charities will donate proceeds from personal fundraising to support Advocate Children's Hospital.

The historic Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler will celebrate its 48th year running on September 24, 2022. Join more than 4,000 runners on a historic course that has hosted participants from around the globe. The 10 mile run, 4 and more mile run/walk, and Amazing Mile Children's Run invite men, women, and children of all ages and abilities to participate. The festivities begin Thursday night with packet pick-up, and continue Friday with the Amazing Mile Children's Run, and a fun, family-friendly festival in downtown Lynchburg. On Saturday, thousands will take part in the 10 mile run and our 4+ mile run/walk. The Lynchburg Road Runners Club, founded in 1973 to organize the Virginia 10 Miler, continues to own and organize the Moore & Giles 10 Miler and its associated events.
